Our practices are straightforward and consistent. We do offer customer incentives from time to time. However, we do not discount our standard rates. Understanding our practices will help you derive even greater value:
- Minimum Job: We have a one-hour minimum for any job we schedule. After the first hour, we bill in 15 minute increments so you only pay for the time we are working for you.
- Estimates: We do not do "free" estimates. There is no such thing as a "free" estimate. The customer ultimately pays for the cost of the estimate plus uplift to cover the contractors risk. Instead, our CSR will listen to your requirements and based on their knowledge of the projects you identify, they will give you a ballpark guesstimate for hours to complete the project. When our technician arrives, he will review the job and confirm the hours required. If the technician's estimate is significantly higher than what you were told on the phone, you may change the job scope or delay the work beyond our one hour minimum. You will be charged for the actual time and materials required.

- Cancellations: We require 48 hour (2 business days) notice to cancel or reschedule any job. If a job is canceled less than 48 hours prior to the committed start time AND we are unable to schedule an alternate job, we will bill you for the minimum one hour.

- Maximizing Value: We recommend the following approaches to maximize your value:
- Try to book at least a half-day's work. This may require that you review our checklist to help identify as many tasks as possible. This way you can avoid having to call us back later for work that requires less than the one-hour minimum plus another trip charge.
- Purchase major products in advance. For your convenience we can pick up whatever you need at the hardware stores. However, we will charge you for our time and we mark-up the products we purchase for your job. It will save you money if you handle this yourself.
- Take advantage of our promotions. You may receive a coupon in the mail. We include special promotions in our monthly eNewsletter (sign-up now) and these may be available on our web site. We also appreciate when you refer us to friends and we will send you a gift certificate to thank you for any new customers you refer.
