Jen started by working at a paint store and liked the schedule
flexibility that the painters had. She realized that wallpaper was a
niche market and decided to go to wallpaper school in Rutland, VT . The
school involved working with every imaginable type of wallpaper over
the course of 10 weeks.
There are an incredible number of choices involved in picking
out your wallpaper. Jen provides advice on the best type of paper for
your specific room/project . Given more than 20 years of experience,
she's equally comfortable with all of them.

- Printed paper
- Vinyl coated paper
- Fabric lined with paper
- Fabric backed vinyl
- Solid sheet vinyl
- Paintable wall coverings
Jen is also a resource to other paper hangers that prefer not to work with some of the more challenging papers like:
- Silks or string (fabric backed vertical strings)
- Grass cloth
- Hand print paper which must be trimmed
- Flocked paper
- Foil because it wrinkles easily

While Jen's real love is wallpaper, she realizes that many of her customers also need painting done. This might be as little as the ceilings and trim in rooms she is papering, and in other cases she will paint several rooms.
What's more important is that the quality of any wallpaper or painting job depends on the preparation of the surfaces and that's where Jen excels. She can repair almost any type of damage to sheetrock or plaster including replacing small areas of damaged sheetrock, to insure that the final painting job is of high quality.
Attention to detail in preparation makes all the difference in the finished job. That plus quality paint and quality tools = quality work.
